Snow on the ground for weeks, mid-December one year, I found this whole orchard filled with brilliant red apples, left un-picked because of market conditions. In the evening setting sun they just glowed like ornaments for the holiday season. I hope you all can find some joy in your lives this season.

I have just published a book with Blurb titled The Great Lakes, A Spiritual Connection, http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1451893899

The basic idea of the book is that western civilization tends to use nature, not to be a part of it, and that I think that is because there is no spiritual context for how we regard or interact with the natural world. So in this book, I have presented a short series of images that encourage us to re-examine our relationship with these lakes. The images range from very calm waters to storm waters in which people died, from straight forward images to highly altered images according to both artistic desire and the telling of the story.

This is a project originated from participation in a creativity workshop with John Paul Caponigro and is one of the fulfillment achievements for the Next Step Caponigro Group.
